Because someone asked me REALLY nicely, I've duplicated the Australian GST calculator and modified for New Zealand (15% GST).

Hi, is there a download version of this GST NZ Calculator?
Great Calculator.
No sorry. Online javascript form only. You may be able to try and save the page to your desktop. I haven’t gotten around to making apps for mobile devices or anything as such either.
Hi, so if my monthly takings is 14876.20 I’d pay 1940.37 in gst to the ird? if this is correct thank you..
I believe that is correct, yes – but please ensure you run that past an Accountant over in NZ – I have no idea how it works over there.
why is the gst rate 15 if you add it on but 13.04 if you subtract it?
Unsure! Let me have a look and see what’s happening.
Not actually sure what you mean here Nicole.
If you have $15 and add 15% – the total amount is $17.25. (15% of 15 is $2.25 which is the GST amount).
If you have $15 and want to find how much GST is in it (or subtract), you’d use the following formula; Multiply the full GST inclusive price by 3 then divide that result by 23.
15*3 (is 45) / 23 = 1.96 (rounding up after the second decimal place).
So your total won’t change for subtracting – we have $15 including GST – and the calculator simply breaks it apart into how it’s made up. $13.04 for the non-gst part, and $1.96 for the GST part.
Make sense?
I would just like to point out that this calculator was create exactly one year and one month after the Australian GST Calculator…. cause that’s… interesting… >_>
